Morning Routines

image  Do you ever get to the end of the day and wonder what you accomplished? I have. I’m busy. I work many hours outside of my home as well as trying to keep up with my home and family. I know I’m not alone in this. Many others are in similar situations. We are pulled in so many different directions. Sometimes I find it hard to know what to do next.

I have a tried and true trick that I use to help me. Now don’t get me wrong when I say I have one trick. I have routines and systems in place to help (try) to keep me organised and focused, but I always begin with just one thing. This one thing helps focus me and sustain me. I pray. When I wake up I spend time reading my Bible and praying. This has sustained me during so many challenging times in my life.

No gimmicks, no tricks. Before I check e-mail, do chores, check Facebook etc… I just sit quietly and read in Gods word and pray.  It brings a quiet sense of peace to this weary soul.
