Easy French Bread Pizza

Easy French Bread Pizza is so easy to prepare. It is one of our favorite quick meals. Depending on what you have on hand this can easily be on the table in less than 30 minutes. Everyone loves a quick pizza recipe that you can get on the table fast. Prep is easy and baking time is quick.

French Bread

Let’s start with the bread. You can use store bought French bread or you can make your own French bread at home. I have used both options, and both are delicious in this recipe. We slice the bread and lightly pre-bake in the oven.

Sauce

You need sauce. We try to make large batches of pasta sauce and always have some in the freezer. I will share my pasta sauce recipe in another post. You can also use jarred sauce if that’s what you have on hand. It is all about easy meal prep, so use what you have.

Toppings

Topping are next. The sky’s the limit with toppings. Again, we use what we have on hand or need to use up. I usually have peppers and onions in the freezer in large bags. You can use fresh veggies as well. If we use the frozen peppers and onions, we take out what we need and chop them up. We usually have pepperoni on hand, but you could use ham or bacon or anything else that sounds good. We do lightly sauté any veggies we use prior to adding as a topping.

Cheese

Cheese used is according to what we have on hand. Almost always we use mozzarella, however we have tried Easy French Bread Pizza with fresh Parmesan and cheddar and it turned out well. We love cheese, so we usually have no complaints about the cheese.

Baking Directions for Easy French Bread Pizza

Once the French bread is lightly toasted you can add the sauce. Use as much as you like. Some people prefer an abundance of sauce, others prefer a light layer. Add your toppings, including any meat of your choice, lightly sautéed veggies, and sprinkle with cheese.

Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 10-15 minutes. Adjust time in the oven to ensure cheese has a lightly toasted appearance. Cut into bite sized pieces and serve.

Your family will love the taste of Easy French Bread Pizza. This is a quick and easy meal made with simple ingredients that can be adjusted based on what you have available.
