Sunday Morning Blessings

This post may contain affiliate links

As we left for church this morning I stopped for a moment to appreciate the beauty that surrounded me. Now it was not a typical bright sun-filled day that one might think of when I say it was beautiful. It was dark, cloudy and actively raining, but there was still beauty to be found in this world formed by our Creator. The rain was washing away the mud from the previous week. Rain always makes me think of new beginnings with everything shiny and clean. We appreciate the rain in our area because that means it isn't snowing! This time of year in Indiana we often receive our share of snow, which is a whole different kind of beautiful. This morning seemed to me to be filled with hope.

I'm sure I am not the only one that needs a little dash of hope in their lives. Hope for today and hope for an everlasting tomorrow. As I watched the rain bead on the car windows I felt a sense of renewal. And that is what I was still thinking as we pulled into the parking lot at church. Hope for now and hope for later! That is what sustains me every day.
